About Lisa
Lisa Drum is a Melbourne-based qualified teacher and literacy specialist. She provides evidence-based intervention in reading, spelling and writing for primary school students with learning difficulties, including Specific Learning Disorders (i.e., dyslexia and dysgraphia) and ADHD. Sessions are one-to-one and delivered by Lisa from her dedicated home office in Caulfield South.
All Lisa's lessons are multisensory and carefully tailored to each learner, helping to build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and support long-term academic success. Her instruction incorporates structured, synthetic phonics, is grounded in the Orton-Gillingham approach and aligned with Victorian Curriculum expectations.
Lisa holds qualifications in Primary Teaching, Special Education, Orton-Gillingham and Multisensory Structured Language (MSL). With more than thirty years’ experience across specialist and mainstream educational settings, Lisa brings expertise and a genuine, abiding passion for helping children discover the joy of language and the power of reading and writing.
Outside her professional work, Lisa enjoys travel and exploring the natural world, as well as cooking and reading in her spare time. She aspires to be a competent gardener. She is married and has three adult children.

Service Offering

Weekly one‑to‑one literacy intervention sessions (60 minutes each)

8 – 10 sessions per school term, number determined by Lisa, and aligned with the Victorian school calendar

Complimentary initial screening session to assess student needs and set instructional goals
Pricing

$140 per session, payable by the parent/guardian

Payment for 8 – 10 sessions is due in full at the beginning of each term (cash or bank transfer)
Communication

Parents receive verbal feedback at the end of each session, with brief guidance for home practice

Written progress reports are provided at the end of each term, outlining teaching content and suggested next steps
